Why Join

The OJA is committed to establishing and maintaining contacts with the legislative and executive branches, and insures that legislators remain aware of the judiciary’s role and needs in government and the effects of legislative action on justice. The OJA seeks to broadly increase judicial participation in the legislative process.

Representing Oklahoma’s trial court judges in the Oklahoma Legislature is one of OJA’s primary functions. At the beginning of each legislative session, OJA’s legislative consultant reviews all new bills and informs OJA members about those bills impacting the judicial process. Throughout session, members have access to bill tracking services, and receive weekly session reports. The OJA also organizes a series of judicial visits to the Capitol during session where member judges have the opportunity to meet legislators and view committee and floor proceedings.

Membership benefits provide you a voice at our State Capitol and beyond.
